Reconnect with Yourself

The journey to self regeneration and being your brightest best self

Over many years and without realising it, I have been on a journey of re-discovery. This wasn't planned, but the Universe knows what is best for us even if we don't yet know it. It lines things up for us, so even when things seem like the hardest and darkest moments, they are leading us to opportunity, to the doors that we are meant to open, to the trains we are meant to board.

For some of this journey I was lucky enough to enjoy the journey, but for some of it, I really had to tap deep into my inner self and ask myself some challenging questions. There were indeed high and low moments but what I do now feel is an inner sense of calm and peace and trust.

  1. Do something that you love - just for fun

I started singing lessons because I wanted to do something that I had never done before just for fun. I am not a naturally talented singer but that's what made it even more exciting. Doing something just because, without comparing myself to others, without worrying about how I sound, and without the pressure of certification or exams or the need to achieve. It brings a sense of freedom and lightness - enjoying the moment and the sheer joy of making sounds using my voice. My unique voice expressing my individual self.

  2. Nurture others - help them to shine

Helping others to feel better and be their best selves, both professionally and personally is really important to me. I was lucky enough during my school days to have a handful of teachers that really enabled me to learn, to grow, and to challenge myself. I learnt how to be brave and confident even during the hardest and most vulnerable moments. I love helping people flourish and to feel good (physically or psychologically or both) using vocal massage, massage and acupuncture, and coaching. Health and wellbeing are more than just biological factors, they are complex and influenced by multiple factors often over many years. I take a holistic approach to my clients and therapies supporting and inspiring them in being their brightest selves.

  3. Stay connected to it - follow your heart

Throughout my life I have thought that the route to success was hard work and struggle and suffering. I choose the difficult and most challenging paths at every turn, because I thought that if its too easy then what's the point?

When I was at school I wanted to be a speech therapist. I had a love of language and the voice. However, I put that natural passion and interest aside and took a different route. I followed the "shoulds'" rather than to what life was calling me to do.

Many years later, the train that I was meant to board is now at the station for me and I have hopped on board. I have with me everything that I have learned to date, and some key items with me in my suitcase. I have also had to leave some things behind so that my current self and future best self can finally meet.

Feel free to hop on board alongside me until its time to get off to meet your train. I look forward to meeting you and to our onward journeys. x
